VIDEO INTERVIEW:

Here's a wonderful piece that captures the spirit of my approach to fine art & still life work.

A film crew spent several days taping and recording me in different locations: on a location food shoot, in my studio, hanging prints at KOBO at Higo Gallery, shopping at an asian grocery store and even cooking in our kitchen!

They crafted a great piece weaving in old family photos.- there’s a shot of my sister Judy and me with dad in a San Francisco camera store and another great shot of mom and dad cooking at Wong’s Cafe. Somehow those old photos take on a new life in the video.

Starring in the show: Kela, Melia and Katherine. Making special appearances are: Cole Porter, former Director of Photography at the Seattle Times and now Senior Editorial Advisor at Getty Images, Tomoko Matsuno, CEO of Uwajimaya, Pat Norikane Logerwell with the Wing Luke Asian Museum.

Kudos to reporter/producer Susan Han, cameraman Tom Speer and editor Randy Eng who were nominated for a regional Emmy for their work.

And a big thank you to Binko at John at KOBO for all the help with the shoot.
