Favorite Print featured at the Wing Luke Auction

One of my favorite prints, "Three Parsnips" will be featured this weekend at the gala Wing Luke Museum Auction and Dinner. I used a limited color palette for this image - it's really a study in brown hues. The simple color scheme gives it the same kind of impact a black & white image might have.

Katherine and I love this event that features spectacular art by Northwest artists in a live auction format. It's always a lot of fun with movers and shakers in the community in attendance (in recent years, we've seen Ambassador Gary Locke and wife Mona and Congressman Jim McDermott) and we get a chance to catch up with acquaintances and even some of my photography students who will be volunteering there. Two of our good friends, Rich and Diane Sugimura, are auction co-chairs this year. Here's a link if you'd like to find out more.
